TEA TECHNOLOGIES

Feasibility Studies for New Factory Plants
A feasibility study is an analysis and evaluation of a proposed factory or cottage project to determine (1) if the project is technically feasible, (2) if it is feasible within the estimated cost, and (3) whether the project will be profitable. Feasibility study justifies to the Tea Directorate (the licensing authority) the necessity of such a factory or cottage within the proposed site in terms of green leaf availability, potential and proximity to other factory plants or cottages. The recommendations after the study can also help in accessing funding for such projects.

Strategic Selection of Manufacturing Technology
Tea manufacturing technology refers to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech machines, equipment, tool and accessories in converting green leaves to finished tea products. Strategic selection of such technology will be based on procurement of relevant system engineering and design; capacity development and market availability for such products which include black CTC, Orthodox, Green Tea, Purple tea, white tea.

Systems Engineering & Design
We provide expert advice on use of simple but relevant handicrafts for small cottages to larger machines and equipment for mass production to manufacture tea products identified. This will include structural proposals for design and layout for new factories or cottages and re-design of existing ones for optimum results.

Capacity Development
The greatest asset of every organization is its people. While all other assets depreciate with time, people can only get better. Our focus on capacity development is to ensure that individuals, factory owners, workers and the larger societies obtain, strengthen and maintain the capabilities (in knowledge and skills) to achieve their set development objectives in tea production and marketing.

Project Management, Implementation & Support
Project management has been proven to be the most effective method of delivering products within cost, schedule, and resource constraints. A tea factory processing plant or tea cottage is a huge investment that must be established, completed on time and on budget while giving the investors the final product they expect.

You will gain a strong working knowledge of the basics of project management and be able to immediately use that knowledge to effectively manage your factory or cottage projects. At the end, you will be able to identify and manage the product scope, build a work breakdown structure, create a project plan, create the project budget, define and allocate resources, manage the project development, identify and manage risks, and understand the project procurement process.
